Saudi OFWs Invited to Free College Pathway Session

Overseas Filipino workers in Saudi Arabia are invited to attend the second online orientation on two education programs for experienced workers.

The session will take place through Zoom on August 14, 2026.

It starts at 9:00 a.m. in Saudi Arabia, which is 2:00 p.m. in the Philippines.

The orientation is free, but interested workers must register in advance.

Zoom login details will be sent to registered participants.

The official announcement from the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration identifies OFWs in Saudi Arabia and the UAE as the target participants.

Overseas experience may count toward a degree

One part of the session will cover the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program, or ETEEAP.

The program gives qualified professionals another way to earn a Philippine college degree.

Under ETEEAP, knowledge and skills gained from employment, training, and other life experiences may be assessed for academic credit.

This does not mean that work experience automatically guarantees a degree.

Applicants must submit evidence and undergo an assessment by an authorized Philippine college or university.

Depending on the school and degree program, the review may include employment documents, training certificates, interviews, examinations, and a work portfolio.

The official ETEEAP portal explains that applicants may still need to complete subjects or other academic requirements before graduation.

Online application system will be explained

Participants will also learn how to use the ETEEAP Online Enlistment System.

The presentation is expected to cover the first steps for workers who want their professional experience assessed.

Another topic is the Lifelong Learning Education Assistance Program for Overseas Filipino Workers, also called LEAP-OFWs.

This program supports qualified OFWs who plan to complete a bachelor’s degree through ETEEAP.

Applicants should attend the orientation for the confirmed rules on eligibility, documents, covered costs, and the assistance process.

What OFWs should do now

Interested workers may complete the official registration form.

They should use an active email address and check their inbox and spam folder for the Zoom invitation.

No registration deadline was stated in the announcement, so workers are advised to sign up early.
