Foreign residents in Saudi Arabia can check the status of an exit and re-entry visa online before traveling.
The inquiry is available through Absher and helps users confirm whether the visa record is valid.
It may also reduce the risk of reaching the airport with incorrect or expired travel documents.
Check the visa before booking your trip
An exit and re-entry visa allows an expatriate resident to leave Saudi Arabia temporarily and return during the permitted period.
Residents should check the visa after it is issued and again shortly before departure.
Absher’s official Exit and Re-Entry Visa Status service allows beneficiaries to view the status and details electronically.
This is an inquiry service only.
It does not issue, extend, or cancel the visa.
Follow the Absher inquiry path
According to Saudi Arabia’s National Platform, the user should log in to Absher and follow these steps:
- Select Workers.
- Choose Inquiries.
- Select Exit and Re-Entry Visa Status.
- Enter the beneficiary’s information.
- Submit the inquiry and review the result.
An official Absher visa FAQ says the inquiry may require the Iqama number, visa number, passport number, and the verification code displayed on the page.
Enter each number exactly as it appears in the official record.
A valid visa is only one travel requirement
A valid exit and re-entry visa does not replace a passport or Iqama.
Before travelling, residents should check that their passport remains valid and that the details match their Saudi records.
They should also confirm the visa’s permitted travel period.
For newly issued visas, Saudi rules may require outstanding traffic violations to be paid.
The person must generally be inside Saudi Arabia when the visa is issued, and the passport must meet the required validity period.
The official Absher Business guide lists at least 90 days of passport validity for issuing an exit and re-entry visa.
What residents should do before departure
Check the visa early and take a screenshot or printout for personal reference.
If information is missing or incorrect, contact the employer, sponsor, or Saudi passport authorities before travelling.
Never share your Absher password or verification code with an unknown person offering visa assistance.
