Social Security System members can now apply for the MySSS Card, an official identification card that also works as a bank debit card.
The EMV-equipped card allows users to withdraw money from ATMs and pay at physical or online stores. It is linked to a savings account opened with an SSS partner bank.
SSS benefits, loan proceeds, refunds, and other payments can be deposited directly into this account. Cardholders no longer need to register the account separately through the SSS Disbursement Account Enrollment Module (DAEM).
The card is open to qualified SSS members, pensioners, individual claimants, beneficiaries, and representative payees.

Check these requirements before applying
Applicants must have a permanent Social Security number and an active account on the My.SSS Member Portal.
Their Philippine address, mobile number, and email address must also be updated in the SSS system.
Applicants must be registered with the Philippine Statistics Authority’s National ID system. Their name and date of birth should match the information recorded by both SSS and the National ID system.
People with an old SSS ID, Unified Multi-Purpose ID, or another previous SSS card may also apply for a replacement MySSS Card.
Online Application Steps
- First, sign in to the My.SSS Member Portal.
- Open the “Services” menu and select “MySSS Card.” Review the personal information shown and correct any outdated details before continuing.
- Next, allow SSS to verify your identity using National ID eVerify and your National ID photograph. Complete the facial scan and select an available partner bank.
- Applicants must then agree to the bank’s conditions and allow SSS and the bank to share the information needed to open and register the account.
- SSS will send a confirmation through email and the applicant’s My.SSS inbox.
A second step may still be required
After completing the SSS process, the applicant must follow the partner bank’s instructions. This may involve using its mobile application or visiting a branch to finish identity checks and open the account.
The bank may also charge card or delivery fees.
According to SSS, cards may be released within 15 working days in Metro Manila and 20 working days outside Metro Manila after the bank account is successfully opened.
Members should contact the issuing bank for delivery or application-status questions.
Important clarification: The official SSS page describes the MySSS Card as an EMV debit card. It does not state that every issued card uses Visa. The payment network may depend on the partner bank and card version.
