Registration Guide for $200 DMW OFW Cash Aid Amid Job Disruptions

Overseas Filipino workers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia who are experiencing reduced income or job disruptions may qualify for $200 cash assistance from the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW).

The support comes as many OFWs across the Middle East face changing work conditions, including fewer work hours, delayed salaries, and temporary layoffs. These challenges have affected workers in sectors such as construction, hospitality, and retail.

Who Can Apply for the Cash Assistance

The DMW said the program is intended for OFWs whose employment has been directly affected by the ongoing situation.

This includes workers who:

  • Lost their jobs, whether temporary or permanent
  • Experienced reduced salary or delayed pay
  • Had shorter work schedules
  • Faced sudden work disruptions

These conditions have become more common as companies adjust operations due to lower demand and economic uncertainty.

How Much Financial Support Is Given

Qualified applicants will receive a one-time cash grant of USD 200 (around SAR 750).

The assistance is designed to help cover immediate daily expenses such as food, transportation, and other basic needs while workers recover from income loss.

Document Requirements and Flexible Options

To apply, OFWs must prepare:

1. Passport copy

2. Proof of employment (contract, visa, or labor card)

They must also submit proof of impact, such as:

  • Payslip showing reduced salary
  • Employer certification of reduced work hours
  • Notice of termination

Note: If these documents are not available, applicants may submit a self-declaration (sariling salaysay) or certification from Filipino community groups as alternative proof.

Application Process and Online Registration Link Update

The DMW is expected to release an online Request for Assistance Form (RFA) where applicants can submit their details and documents.

However, the official registration link is not yet available as of this writing.

OFWs in Saudi Arabia are advised to wait for updates from:

Migrant Workers Office (MWO) Saudi Arabia
Philippine Embassy in Riyadh or Jeddah

These offices will announce when the application process opens and how to submit requirements. Bookmark this post so you can easily check when the registration link is available.

Early Preparation Encouraged

Authorities encourage OFWs to prepare their documents early, as a large number of applications is expected once the system goes live.

Being ready can help applicants submit faster and avoid delays in receiving assistance.
