Saudi residents can use an electronic service to transfer an eligible domestic worker from a private recruitment company to an individual employer.
The service is provided by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development through the government’s Musaned platform.
It is officially called “Domestic Labor Transfer from Company to Individual.”
Which workers can use this service?
The service applies to eligible domestic workers whose services are connected to a private recruitment company.
It does not mean that any employee working for a regular private company can automatically move into a domestic occupation.
The worker, recruitment company and new individual employer must meet the conditions shown during the application process.
The receiving employer must also be eligible to employ a domestic worker under Saudi regulations.
Approval from the worker is required before the transfer can be completed.
How does the transfer process begin?
The individual who plans to employ the worker should sign in to Musaned using the required national access details.
The applicant should select the service-transfer section and find the option for transferring a worker from an establishment or recruitment company to an individual.
The parties must then provide or confirm the requested information.
This may include:
- The worker’s identification details
- Information about the recruitment company
- The new employer’s information
- The proposed domestic occupation
- Employment and transfer contract details
- The agreed cost and payment information
The exact fields and available options may depend on the worker’s status and the employer’s eligibility.
Approvals and payment are still required
Submitting a request does not complete the transfer immediately.
The recruitment company must perform its required actions, while the worker must approve the request.
The receiving employer must review the contract carefully before making any required payment.
Musaned lists a service-response time of around 10 minutes for transferring a worker from a private recruitment company to an individual.
However, this refers to the electronic service target and does not guarantee that every case will be completed within 10 minutes.
Applications may take longer when information, payment or approval is still pending.
Check the new contract before approval
Workers should read the domestic employment contract before accepting it.
The contract should clearly show the occupation, salary, contract length, working arrangements, rest periods and the rights and duties of both parties.
Workers should not approve a request containing information that differs from what was agreed upon.
The transfer should be completed only through Musaned’s official worker-transfer service.
Applicants who cannot find the correct option may contact Musaned at 920002866 or care.e@musaned.gov.sa.
What workers should know right now is that the service is limited to eligible domestic labor transfers. A regular private-sector worker should not leave a current job or accept a household position until the correct transfer route and new legal status are officially confirmed.
